Earlier this year, this cozy Nolita restaurant had a big announcement to make: taking over in the kitchen would be chef Max Sussman, former chef de cuisine at Hipster Haven (and critic’s fave) Roberta’s, author of three cookbooks, and James Beard Award semi-finalist. Cooking at this special dinner along with Max is his brother, chef Eli Sussman from Mile End Delicatessen, who has been nominated this year for the James Beard Foundation Rising Star Chef award. Eli was named one of Zagat's 30 Under 30 and one of Eater.com's top-50 food professionals. Paul Shaked, owner and wine director of The Cleveland has pronounced interest and 'flair" for innovative wine producers. He worked in close collaboration with the chefs to find the craftiest wine pairings.
