Ahoy there! Kick off the Festival in grand style, cruising down the East River on the Water Table, a World War II-era Navy Yard patrol boat. Casting off from the East 23rd Street Pier, the floating restaurant will be helmed by able-bodied chef Ignacio Mattos, of Estela, which has been nominated by the James Beard Foundation for 2014’s Best New Restaurant. The young Uruguayan chef’s original take on Languedoc-Roussillon cuisine will make you wish you were lost at sea. The talented Thomas Carter, formerly of Blue Hill Stone Barns and Estela's co-owner and wine director, paired each dish with his favorite Languedoc-Roussillon wines. Accompanying the unforgettable meal will be music from Avalon Jazz Band.
Doors open at 7:00PM. The boat departs promptly at 7:30PM.
$125 per seat. Includes a beautiful boat ride at sunset, a 4-course dinner, wine pairing, tip and tax.
