Closing the tasting table series is an unforgettable brunch at one of the city’s newest and most buzzworthy eateries. With evocative, vintage fabrics and lamps adorning the walls and a maritime theme thread through the tiling and, of course, the incredible fish-driven menu, this new Soho classic is supremely cozy, and super très cool. Making magic in the kitchen is Navy’s Executive chef Camille Beccera, a former Top Chef Season 3 contestant who, amazingly, once cooked vegetarian meals at a Zen monastery in New Mexico. With the inner cool of a monk and the dazzling flare of a seasoned camera-ready chef, Becerra takes on the Languedoc-Roussillon’s flare for preparing tasty treasures of the sea, adding her own, fresh “urban American” touch.
