At The Pines in Brooklyn, Chef Angelo Romano is developing a reputation for his own distinct brand of creatively refined comfort food that aims to surprise guests’ palates by using nontraditional cooking methods, hard-to-source ingredients, and artful, stunning presentations.
On Sunday, June 23 at 6:30pm, Chef Romano will cook up a 7-course wine-paired dinner in the restaurant’s backyard as part of the Sud De France Festival. Providing a funky, laid-back European feel, The Backyard at The Pines is a perfect venue for the dinner, which celebrates the epicurean traditions of the South of France. The dinner, which also features a live jazz band, is $125 per person (all inclusive).
$125 per seat. Includes 1 amuse-bouche, 7-course dinner, wine pairings, tip and tax.
Sud de France is co-hosting a series of five feasts at locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. An unexpected line-up of young, creative chefs will present their own New Yorker interpretations of typical Languedoc-Roussillon specialties. Try innovative new versions of staples like cassoulet (Why would cassoulet be banned in the summer? Unfair!), aligot, cod brandade, and more, all paired with carefully chosen wines from the region.
